Welcome to your Charles Alexander Short Stay room, at TheWestern Blackpool.
We wish you a happy and relaxing time during your stay. So why not begin by putting your feet up and enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits with our compliments.
We ask that you take a few moments to read the following information, which we hope you may find helpful whilst visiting Blackpool.
Wi-Fi
We offer free Wi-Fi in all of our rooms and the code is displayed in each room.
Heating – all rooms are electric heating throughout which can be switched on/off as desired. Do please turn the heating off when not required and when the room is not in use.
A charge of £250 will be made if evidence of smoking is found in the room.
Electrical Equipment & Chargers – please do ensure that these are unplugged at night and when leaving the room unattended.
Noise – As with all hotel living you may be aware of noise from other rooms in the building. With respect we ask you to consider other residents particularly between the hours of 10:00PM and 8:00AM.
Entrance Door & Room Door – Please do ensure the main entrance door is secure after entering and departing the building. This is for your own and other residents’ security.

We ask that internal doors are closed at night to reduce the risk of any fire spreading.

Breaks and Spills
Departure Day and Time
At the end of your stay please leave the room by 10:00AM and return your keys to the lock box.
Instruction Manuals
We have placed instruction manuals for the electrical equipment in a separate folder. Please leave these in the room so other guests may refer to them as required.
Bedding and Towels
For stays of more than one week we will provide a change of bedding for each bedroom and fresh towels for the bathroom and kitchen. If you require a more frequent change we are happy to arrange this for a small additional charge.
Ironing
An iron and ironing board is supplied in each room.
Parking
There is no on-site parking available.
The nearest pay & display car park is Central Car Park located at the bottom end of Vance Road.
Public Transport and taxis
Central Blackpool is supported by an excellent public transport hub with access to buses, trams and taxis to all areas of the coast. The closest tram stop to the hotel is located opposite Blackpool Tower. Trams run every 15 minutes to Starr Gate to the south and Fleetwood to the north.

Several bus routes can be found at the top of Vance Road and the main bus station can be found on Bank Hey Street, a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There are a number of taxi services operating in Blackpool, including:

Please note that Blackpool does not operate an Uber service.
Restaurants
Blackpool is a mecca for restaurants and fine dining with eateries to suit all taste buds. From traditional fish & chips on the Promenade to some five-star dining establishments across the

Local Shops & Supermarkets
Blackpool is supported by several large supermarkets.
The closest one to TheWestern is Sainsbury’s on Talbot Road, a 15-minute walk. For convenience shopping, a McColls is on Coronation Street at the top of Vance Road, as well as a Tesco Express on Central Drive, a five-minute walk from the hotel.
FIRE SAFETY
We consider our guests’ safety and the risk of fire to be of utmost importance. We have a comprehensive fire risk assessment, which is reviewed annually. The room is fitted with smoke detectors, which will alert you should a fire start. There are manual call points in the communal areas outside the room. Please use these in an emergency ONLY.
Water fire extinguishers are located in the communal areas/corridors.
