Our Beach Retreat welcomes your four-legged friends!

Have you heard? We’ve got a dog-friendly apartment in the heart of St Annes! Yes, a palatial palace fit for you pooch and the perfect place for you all to put your paws up and relax.

“Beach Retreat” is our brand new, one-bedroom apartment which can sleep up to four people and cater for two dogs. With a private decking area and access to the beach from the garden – you can see the beach from the gate – this apartment is perfect for you and your four-legged friends. And it’s pretty much a doggy’s dream for a place to stay too as there are loads of places to walk your canine (and kids) from the clean beaches of St Annes, Blackpool and Cleveleys, to the dog-friendly walks across the rest of the Fylde.

Luckily for you, we have put together a little guide to help you all out! We have been having a look at the best walks, the best pubs and the best cafes to take our canine pal while you’re here.

Cafes:

There are a number of cafes in Lytham and St Annes which will accept all well-behaved dogs, including:

  • Coven Tea Rooms – Back North Crescent (opposite Windmill House)
  • Fresh – St Annes Square
  • Bijou of Lytham – Clifton Street, Lytham
  • Anton’s – Park Road, St Annes
  • Wigglesworth Tea Rooms – The Crescent, St Annes
  • Pavilion Cafe, Ashton Gardens
  • Whispers Cafe – Clifton Street, Lytham

Pubs:

  • The Lord Derby – Clifton Drive, St Annes
  • The Town House – St Annes Square
  • No10 Ale House – Park Road, St Annes
  • The Victoria – Church Road, St Annes
  • The Queens – Central Beach, Lytham
  • The Eagle, Wesham

Walks:

The Fylde Coast is a haven for dog walking. No matter where you travel to on the coast, there will be somewhere to take the dogs. Be careful though as during the summer months there are restrictions in place on St Annes beach between the RNLI lifeboat house to the Pier heading north.

Our picks for the best places to take your dog(s) for a walk while you are here are:

  • St Annes beach – heading north towards Blackpool
  • Fairhaven Lake – no restrictions in place
  • Lytham Hall – no restrictions and the cafe accepts dogs
  • Lytham Green – no restrictions
  • Witch Wood – no restrictions
