Dear Guests,

Welcome to your Charles Alexander Short Stay apartment, at The Beach Retreat.

We wish you a happy and relaxing time during your stay. So why not begin by putting your feet up and enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits with our compliments.

We ask that you take a few moments to read the following information, which we hope you may find helpful whilst visiting St. Annes.

Wi-Fi

We offer free Wi-Fi in all of our apartments and the code is displayed in each apartment. Please do not remove the Wi-Fi devices from the apartments.

Do's and Don'ts!

Heating Apartment 1 – The apartment heating is controlled via a wireless thermostat that can be adjusted as desired. Please turn the heating off when not required and when the apartment is not in use.

Heating Apartment 2 – The apartment is electric heated throughout which can be switched on/off as desired. Please turn the heating off when not required and when the apartment is not in use.

Rubbish – Please ensure bins are emptied at the end of your stay, and use recycling bins where available. Bins are at the rear of the property.

No Smoking / No Candles Policy
A charge of £250 will be made if evidence of smoking is found in the apartment.
Electrical Equipment & Chargers – please do ensure that these are unplugged at night and when leaving the apartment unattended.
Noise –  As with all apartment living you may be aware of noise from other apartments in the building. With respect we ask you to consider other residents particularly between the hours of 10:00PM and 8:00AM.

Entrance Door & Apartment Door – Please do ensure the main entrance doors are secure after entering and departing the building. This is for your own and other residents’ security.

We ask that internal doors are closed at night to reduce the risk of any fire spreading.

Breaks and Spills

Please inform us of any breakages so we can provide replacements. Also please let us know of any spills and stains which may need our attention. There may be a charge involved.

Departure Day and Time
At the end of your stay please leave the apartment by 10:00AM and return your keys to the lock box. Please ensure bins are emptied at the end of your stay.

Instruction Manuals
We have placed instruction manuals for the electrical equipment in a separate folder. Please leave these in the apartment so other guests may refer to them as required.

Bedding and Towels
For stays of more than one week we will provide a change of bedding for each bedroom and fresh towels for the bathroom and kitchen. If you require a more frequent change we are happy to arrange this for a small additional charge.

Hairdryer
A hairdryer is supplied and can be found in the drawers in the bedroom.
Ironing
An iron and ironing board is available in the apartment for your use.
Emergency Lighting
In case of electrical failure or in the event of a fire, emergency lights are situated in the communal areas.

Parking

Apartment 1: A single allocated parking spot at the front of the building. Guest must park in parking spot No.1.

Apartment 2: Please note – Parking at the front of the apartment is for unloading only. Street parking is found at the rear of the building on Ribble Street, FY8 2PE.

Dog rules!

Please clean up after your dogs, both inside and outside of the apartment. Dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture. 

A water and food bowl is provided. Pet beds/baskets are not provided.

Public Transport and taxis
The Square in St. Anne’s offers a good bus service. There is a railway station on St Andrews Road North FY8 2JE with trains to Blackpool, Lytham, Preston and beyond.

Restaurants
St. Anne’s has several restaurants and cafes. A few miles away in Lytham there is a good choice of restaurants, pubs and wine bars catering for all tastes. Lytham is about a 10 minute car journey away, and can also be accessed by bus, train or taxi.

Local Shops & Supermarkets
You will find a selection of local shops on your doorstep and there is a good choice of Supermarkets including Sainsbury’s, Aldi, M&S Food, and Tesco express, all within walking distance of the apartment.

FIRE SAFETY

We consider our guests’ safety and the risk of fire to be of utmost importance. We have a comprehensive fire risk assessment, which is reviewed annually. The apartment is fitted with smoke detectors, which will alert you should a fire start. There are manual call points in the communal areas outside the apartment. Please use these in an emergency ONLY.

A fire blanket is located in the kitchen.

Water fire extinguishers are located in the communal areas/corridors.
Escape Plan
To exit the building please follow the FIRE EXIT SIGNS in the communal areas.

What to do in the event of a fire? – !! GET OUT, STAY OUT !!
  1. If safe to do so, evacuate the building using the stairs. Leave your belongings behind.

  2. Raise the alarm to other residents by breaking the glass on the manual call point.

  3. Go to the assembly point.

  4. Contact the fire service on 999.

Carbon Monoxide Advice
For your safety, a carbon monoxide detector is located in the hallway. If the alarm sounds, please open all windows and doors, evacuate the building and call Gas Emergency Services on 0800 111 999. Please seek medical advice.
